The beginning of our fairy tale starts in March 2020, whilst Boris Johnson was locking down the country due to the pandemic, we connected for the first time on a dating app… terrible timing some would say; perfect timing we say! 

Whilst everyone was stuck inside, we were able to spend hours getting to know each others likes and dislikes.

Whilst everyone was panic buying toilet rolls and pasta, we were discovering each others ambitions and dreams;
Whilst key worker heroes shone and hand-washing became frantic, we became best friends and hoped it would continue. 

Four long months later, thankful for being each other’s distraction during lockdowns, this led to a meeting in person for the first time, with very little expectation. It was perfect… we were perfect… it was clear from that day on. 

Since then we have been inseparable and life together fit together like a jigsaw. 

Memories of a lifetime have been made in Iceland, New York, Paris and Italy and life steps have been celebrated via 30th birthdays, moving in together and buying a home together. On 16th June 2023 Rob proposed on one knee at the top of a castle hill in Porto Venere, Italy and Gem cried yes; the easiest decision in the world for both of us. 

Life together is the most natural thing we could have imagined and every day is incredible. Despite occasional stubbornness, disagreement on wedding website designs or renovation plan debates (and that’s just Gem…), life together brings happiness neither of us could have imagined and excitement for our future. 

We cannot wait to share our special day with our closest family and friends.
